Explore the rich history of Bursa Ataturk House, a stunning mansion constructed in the late 19th century and located on Cekirge Street. This two-storey pavilion, with a basement and attic, is a captivating blend of French architectural art from the 19th century, boasting original woodwork such as balconies, pediment eaves, and acroters.
Step into Ataturk’s world as you ascend to the second floor, where the bedroom and study room on the right, and the charming glasshouse on the left, provide a glimpse into the daily life of this iconic figure. The basement floor, once a bustling kitchen and service area, adds a practical touch to the mansion’s grandeur.
Wander through the picturesque garden, adorned with a pergola featuring intricate hand-drawn motifs in the eastern part. Marvel at the authenticity of the artifacts displayed, nearly all original items used by Ataturk himself.
Gifted to Ataturk by the Bursa municipality during his second visit in 1923, the mansion holds a significant place in history. Sold to the Turkish Pension Fund in 1968 and later converted into a museum on the 50th Anniversary of the Republic in 1973, this architectural gem is now open to visitors, offering a unique journey through time and Turkish heritage.
