About Belek
Belek is one of Antalya’s most refined resort destinations, located on the Mediterranean coast between Antalya city center and Serik. Unlike traditional towns, Belek was planned as a modern tourism zone, blending large-scale resorts with protected pine forests and sandy beaches stretching for kilometers.
The area gained international recognition in the 1990s with the development of world-class golf facilities, transforming Belek into Türkiye’s leading golf destination. Today, it hosts numerous championship golf courses designed to international standards, attracting professional tournaments and amateur players from across Europe and the Middle East.
Beyond luxury hotels and golf resorts, Belek stands out for its natural setting. Umbrella pines, eucalyptus trees, and protected dune ecosystems surround the coastline, while nearby rivers and ancient ruins connect the modern resort area to the deep historical layers of Pamphylia. Just a short drive away lies Aspendos, reminding visitors that Belek’s polished present stands on millennia of civilization.
Although purpose-built for tourism, Belek maintains a calm and orderly atmosphere. Evenings are shaped by seaside walks, soft lighting along resort promenades, and the distant sound of waves. It is a destination where comfort, nature, and leisure coexist without the intensity of larger resort towns.
How to Get There
Belek is located approximately 35 km east of Antalya city center and about 30 km from Antalya Airport.
The area is easily accessible by car via the D400 highway. Airport transfer services, hotel shuttles, taxis, and private transfers operate regularly. Public minibuses run between Antalya, Serik, and Belek, though most visitors prefer direct transfers due to the resort-based layout.
