Overlooking the tranquil waters of the Golden Horn, Miniatürk is a fascinating open-air museum that brings all of Türkiye together in one place. Opened in 2003, this miniature park features more than 130 scaled models of Türkiye’s most famous landmarks — from ancient temples and mosques to palaces, bridges, and fairy chimneys.
Spread across a vast 60,000-square-meter area, Miniatürk is designed as a journey through the country’s cultural and architectural heritage. Visitors can stroll along pathways that weave past tiny recreations of Hagia Sophia, Ephesus Library of Celsus, Mount Nemrut, Pamukkale, and Cappadocia, all crafted with incredible detail at a 1:25 scale. Each model includes information panels in multiple languages, making the park both entertaining and educational — especially for children.
Miniatürk is particularly popular among families, as it offers a chance to explore Türkiye’s diversity in a single day. The park also includes a children’s playground, a Mini Stadium where kids can test interactive games, a train ride, and even a boat simulation on the miniature Bosphorus.
Visitors can relax at the on-site café with views of the Golden Horn or shop for traditional souvenirs at the museum store. Whether you’re traveling with children or simply curious about Türkiye’s history and architecture, Miniatürk offers a delightful experience that combines fun, art, and learning.
