Democracy Island – History and Transformation in the Marmara Sea
Democracy and Freedom Island, formerly known as Yassiada, is one of the Princes’ Islands located in the Sea of Marmara, southeast of Istanbul.
Unlike the other islands, it is known more for its political history and modern transformation than for leisure and tourism.
