TURKISH DELIGHT
Delight has been made and enjoyed in Anatolia since approximately the 15th century.It has changed since refined sugar and starch were brought to the country in the 17th century. It is known and loved as “Turkish Delight” after it was taken to Europe by a British traveler in the 18th century.
Delight that used to be made with honey or molasses and flour is now made with water, sugar and starch. Rose, mint, fruit flavors, and variety of kinds of cookies are used to create a variety of tastes and effects.
