Spice Bazaar, which is the bazaar of Yeni Mosque complex, is in a plan of “L” shape in the south of the mosque, and it was made in years between 1663 and 1664. During the Ottoman era, spices sold in shops in the bazaars were brought from Egypt; so it is also called Egyptian Bazaar-Mısır Çarşısı in Turkish. Structure is 270 meters long covered with tunnel vault, and in the both sides of the bazaar shops aligned.Spice Bazaar is one of the active shopping centers in the city where spices, flower seeds, various plants, dried nuts and delicatessen are sold.There is Florists Bazaar in the juncture of “L” to the mosque direction.Besides plants and seeds, pets and domestic animals are also sold in here.
