178 Views Claim Report

Flower Passage (Cicek Pasaji), at the right side before Galatasaray Square, is one of the favorite places notable with façade architecture. It was built in the place of Gorgeous Naum Theatre which was burnt in a fire in Beyoğlu in 1870, and it was opened in 1875 with the name of Cite de Pera.

The façade facing Istiklal Street has an attractive appearance with caryatids, half engaged columns, reliefs and clock in the upper floor.Name of the passage was changed into Flower Passage for florists selling flowers in there for years during the armistice. It attracts a large customer group with restaurants started serving in 1930s.

At the end of the Flower Passage, Sahne Street starts where Fish Market is located. Shops selling kokoreç (roasted sheep’s intestines) and mussels are also located in this street. In the right ahead the Sahne Street, Nevizade Street is one of the most places with its restaurants.
