Ordu is the beginning point of Eastern Black sea with its natural beauties. Mountains that form its general structure go through the sea in many areas. 450 meters high Boztepe is where the city can be watched panoramically.
Colonists of Miletus established city of Cotyora as a trade colony. Rock tombs which can be seen any many places of the city are interesting examples reached from other generations.
Mountainous and forestry structure of the city increase the importance of transhumance which is one of the most important alternative tourisms. Ordu is also one of the cities where hazelnut is grown a lot. Among the historical buildings, Paşaoglu Mansion in the city center was built by Pasaoglu Huseyin Efendi in 1896. The building which is a beautiful civil architectural example of 19th century is converted into the Ethnography Museum.
