St. Nicholas known as Santa Claus, was the bishop of Myra in the 4th century A.D. The birth place of him was registered Patara, the largest port of Lycia, in the old sources. He participated as Myra patriarch to Iznik Council in 325 A.D.
Nicholas, whose reputation widespread by his kindness and benevolence, was once embraced as the guardian saint. Association of a benevolent magician identity made him even more famous with the name Santa Claus. He still lives a hero of children today.
