Reached via a steep climb from the old Greek quarter, and with commanding views over the town, the family-run ‘Castle’ offers simple but clean rooms; those in the basement are darker but cheaper. There’s a friendly host and a lovely garden to have breakfast in. Of its two pink-coloured houses, the one on the right has better bathrooms. There’s a 15% discount for cash payments.
