The museum located in Cumhuriyet Square near Asi River, is very important for having one of the world’s richest mosaic collections. These high quality mosaics dated to Roman and Byzantine periods portray mythological events and people. While simple mosaics were used in religious buildings, scenes from social life were processed on mosaics in public buildings. Archaeological remains such as tomb steles, column pedestals, statues, sarcophagus of Antioch besides floor and wall mosaics such as Drunk Dionysos, Orpheus, Daphne, Dancers, Ariadne, Yokto and seasons are among the exhibition.
