It is the only mosque on Istiklal Street which is in the intersection of Sakızağacı Street and Istiklal Street. The mosque was built in 1594 and restored in 1834.
Roof and window edges of the small structure which has a rectangular plan are adorned by ornaments with pen work in classical style. In the entrance of the mosque, women maksoorah is located. Fountain in the center of the mosque was brought from Sinan Pasha Mosque in Kasımpaşa which was built by Mimar Sinan but didn’t reach today.
